Kaori Takahashi “Where is my bear?” asks a little girl as soon as she comes home from school. But he’s missing! Where could he be? She sets off to find him, knocking on the door of each apartment in her building. As she climbs higher and higher, she meets a strange bunch of people and objects, makes new friends, sees strange sights… but what about her bear? Will she find him? A child’s quest for her lost toy turns into a wonderful adventure that unfolds, literally, fold after fold into a building full of life. Knock! Knock! is book architecture at its inspired best.
The book comes in a "box". A little girl comes home and finds that her bear is not there. She looks for it at home and decides to go on a quest to look for her bear in her apartment building. The story unfolds here literally as the books folds out. The little girl knocks on the door asking for her bear, when you flip the door over, the inside of the apartment is revealed with all its mystery. Strange happenings inside houses - just like as children, we probably remember imagining what might go on in someone's house.
