We work on fine motor skills by making a beautiful Ganesha artwork inspired by the illustrations of the book Ganesha’s Sweet Tooth.
Inspired by the chosen book’s illustrations, Aboriginal dot paintings from Australia, Gond Art and Pointillism, we create our own unique Ganesha artwork. . The activity helps children practice precision and develop finger and arm strength while making the dots to complete the artwork.
Children make their own color and pattern choices, using their creative skills! They also work on their Visual Literacy skills by observing the artwork in the book closely and interpreting and using ideas to create their own artwork! We combine this activity with a beautiful book, Ganesha's Sweet Tooth by Sanjay Patel and Emily Haynes.
Ganesha is like any other little boy with his mouse as his side-kick. He loves sweets and when he comes across the "Super Jumbo Jawbreaker Ladoo", he bites into it and breaks his tusk. What happens next?
